Our next meeting will be April 1, 2013, as always at the CSU Rankin Arts Photography Center, 1004 Broadway in Columbus. Beginning at 7:00, we will have a 15 minute social, followed by an 1 1/2 hours or more when we break down into smaller groups, in three different classrooms. These three groups are defined by the interests, experience and goals of participating photographers and we will make every effort to help keep their members motivated and organized. The groups are: Image Makers, Professional and Project Developers. We have moderators for each group, every month. Come out and be a part this exciting network of photographers. Photopia Sub-groups:
Image Makers: Creative photographers who enjoy sharing their work. Image Makers will have monthly assignments and competitions, group outings, informative programs. April’s focus: Color: Bring up to 3 images to share (prints or digital files on a thumb drive), that portray this theme creatively. Also, be sure to know the metadata for each of your images to share with other members. Moderators Margaret Page and Renner Loney.
Professional: (for licensed, working pros). Professional photography is highly competitive, and the resources available in a peer group can give you an edge in the marketplace. Moderator: TBD
Project Developers: Photographers who are working on a specific long term project, with a solo exhibition as their ultimate goal. Kenny Gray will provide guidance for each project. April’s topic: Sharing new work, discussing our projects. Group moderator: BillAdams.
